A quality rigid hull tracks like a torpedo, while even the best inflatables succumb to the breeze and will eventually stretch and sag under a rider's feet. For fishermen, one hook or a blade in an inflatable hull marks the end of an outing and the beginning of a bad day.
Most brands offer two choices: a rigid craft that needs a truck bed or roof rack, a garage, and a buddy. Or an inflatable craft that feels like a pool toy.
